KLM Klm

For this contest, we were looking for out-of-the box ideas/videos. Videos that would made us laugh. But more importantly, would make people in general laugh and make them want to share it. The videos we chose all met these requirements. In addition to that, the storyline, editing and quality of the videos were all of very good level.

I work in a company related to gas mining in Indonesia and I'm freelancer for a financial consulting company, for which I provide visual material for their website and advertisements. I often participate in creative contest like eYeka because the site is well designed, the briefs are crystal clear, the prizes are big, the staff is very helpful and the community is great, which helps me push my skill and ideas to the next level. When I saw that the KLM contest was about smartphones, I got excited because I love smartphones and gadget world. I often keep up to date about their commercials, and it was a big opportunity for me to create my own smartphone-related commercial. I got the first piece of idea from the brief itself but also from my coworkers who secretly check their smartphones when they sit in meetings.

The animation, the storyline and especially the humor.

This contest was special because it meant a lot to me. Being one of the top three winners is going to allow me to travel to Europe to see my family (I live in Asia).

After watching the movie “The conjuring”, I tried to imagine how a phone addict could react when facing a zombie!
I found the idea very funny and surprising.

When I found out the results and especially the fact that I won the 3rd prize, I was truly pleased to have the opportunity to see my parents and relatives… And that is really priceless!

A big thank you to KLM and eYeka for this opportunity!

The creativity, the out-of-the box idea, the use of the very popular ‘selfies’, the joke with putting the pics on Facebook. Really good job!
