I'm really happy because this is the first time that I win the first prize, I did not expect it. I preferred to create a music video because I think it's a good way to convey a message together with a touch of humor. I wanted to make an impression and make people remember the words or melody.

I did not know anything about the femidom before and this contest allowed me to get interest in it and discover it. I hope that the selected creations will allow to communicate more about the femidom because it's indeed a real alternative to the male condom!

The lyrics with double meaning, the quirky and unexpected twist, the light-hearted approach of hyper taboo subjects of sexuality and the highly viral potential are all the reasons that made us pick this video for top of the podium. Even the more hesitating people around us had to face the facts: the haunting chorus can be hummed for hours (or days!)! Or isn't it the best way to spread the message? In any case, this is a song that we won't forget ...

I am very happy to have won the second prize. Contraception is still today the only way to protect against the AIDS virus. In this video, I wanted to highlight excuses that men like to use in order to avoid having to protect themselves. Gathering them all together and pronounced by a woman allow to better reflect the stupidity of the excuses. You can learn more about my work here: vimeo.com/kallinger 

We liked this video because it shows with humor and accuracy the most common excuses given by men in order to avoid wearing a condom. It is as if we were there! More importantly, it invites women to take care of their own prevention: indeed empowering women is one of the key issues of the female condom, and this is what this video has perfectly targeted tactfully.

I participate in the contest in general because cinema is my passion, then to train me and evaluate my skills. I specifically joined the AIDES competition because the Brief was clear. I didn't know AIDES before this contest. When I learned that I was one of the winners , I went crazy for
a few minutes and I even asked people to shake me and reassure me. To make me realize that it was not just a dream. My inspiration comes from my everyday life, discussions, comments, stays in my village and I also watch a lot of cartoons.
I like the team work so I do not work alone. Moreover we can not claim to be a filmmaker and work alone. When I have free time , I enjoy composing songs and music. Thus actually, all the musics from my videos are my own creations.

We liked this video for many reasons: the African public with which it will get a good response, the drawbacks of the female condom ridiculed, the invitation to be open-minded going further your first impressions and the women of the video, who again take the matter into their own hands. All with a good script and a lot of humor! Yes, we had lots of fun with this little story!
