After graduating in 2012, I moved to London where I currently work as a graphic designer.
I always liked to challenge myself. That's how I found out eYeka, as I was looking for new design contests online. Since then I participated several contests and was lucky with some of them. It was always an amazing feeling of happiness to receive an email saying "congratulation, your design is a winner."
I mention every contest won on my CV and have added some of them to my portfolio, which makes a very good impression in job interviews. Of course the prize money is also a very welcome bonus, too. It allowed me to travel to amazing places like New York and California.
The questions I ask myself when I want to join a contest are:
1. Does the subject suit me? (I love to go for packaging design for example)
2: Does it excite me?
3: Do I have spontaneous ideas already?
Participating in a contest should always be fun, not just work. So you are not too disappointed if you don’t win it.
The shelf impact your design brings was far and away the best we saw. We loved the simplicity of your design and we believe it shows real promise

I'm a french freelance illustrator and graphic designer, based in Paris, but I've also worked in London for a couple of years.
I discovered eyeka when I was in London. I was looking for graphic design contests. It was the very begining of eyeka, and I felt that comments and marking were not very fair. But the problem has been resolved very quickly, and the website has evoluated the right way since.
My tips: concentrate on one contest you know you are going to have fun with...
It's such a great pleasure to win! It's the fisrt time I manage to get a prize, and I'm so happy I didn't give up...I feel proud, and it gives me a lot of energy to go forward.
This design caught everyone's attention in a very good way. The gradient in the background offers good depth and the logo was very modern without being cold and sterile. Very cool!

I'm a freelance designer, accidentally learned about eYeka.
I like to participate in eYeka contests as they are launched by global brands.
And partcipating is very useful for my portfolio. And of course it's always nice to win =)
The depth your background provided was a great contrast to the 2D logo. The bursts of color provided great energy and stopping power
I am a French freelance designer. I discovered eYeka by looking for contests on the internet. In fact, for me it is a great way to stay active and to practice during my freetime!
I really appraciate to participate to this 7UP contest, and I am glad to know that the company likes my job.
All elements of your design worked well together. We felt positive, upward energy in the background and a cool, strong logo in front. Nicely done!
