NYU Tisch Undergraduate Film & TV alum and WIF/GM Latina Acceleration Grant recipient, Michelle Malley Campos is an award-winning writer-director with over a dozen short films and music videos under her belt and over 10 years of experience in the film industry. A Puerto Rico native, she moved back to the island upon graduating and quickly established herself as a prominent young director while working in Production on dozens of films, TV series, commercials and music videos. She is a member of the Director's Guild of America, having worked as an Assistant Director on such films and TV Series as Mad Dogs, Masterminds, Cocaine Cowboys, Mozart in the Jungle and Presumed Dead in Paradise, among others. She has participated in several educational initiatives giving writing and directing workshops to high school kids and ran a free, outdoor community cinema in an abandoned lot for three years. Her 2015 short film, "In Pieces", enjoyed exposure at the 68th Cannes Film Festival and served as a selling point for her feature screenplay "Life in Pieces". Although working towards directing features with two finished screenplays and two more in the writing process, Malley Campos revels in the short subject and enjoys creating rounded, poignant stories with a concise duration. She has naturally gravitated to directing commercials as she continues to write her screenplays and plans to travel the world through the ever constant language of advertising.
